Iowa State is the only university to have two theatre productions selected for Region 5’s annual festival.
The excellent teaching practices of John Lajoie, Department of Physics and Astronomy, and Cason Murphy, Department of Music and Theatre, have been recognized with Cassling Family Awards.
The Oct. 31 concert will feature popular movie soundtracks from films such as “Star Wars,” along with a special Halloween costume contest.
One of Iowa State’s largest operas in years, the show features a cast of 40 students and an ambitious score that blends jazz, blues, Broadway and opera.
Opening Thursday, Oct. 14 in Fisher Theater, the show follows a group of young people as they come of age and navigate love, loss and identity in their town of Corners Grove.
