The projects focus on artificial intelligence in the humanities and support for undergraduate student internships at Ames National Laboratory.
John Levis, professor of English, and Elisa Rizo, associate professor of world languages and cultures, have received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar fellowship for the 2024-25 academic year.
Amy Burgin comes to Iowa State from the University of Kansas. She will begin her appointment on Jan. 1, 2025.
Megan Myers, associate professor of Spanish, will begin her five-year term as chair on July 1.
The students will teach English abroad after earning Fulbright fellowships.
The American Association for the Advancement of Science is honoring five Iowa State University researchers for “their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science.”
The projects, with representation from all eight colleges to impact student-centric instruction across the university, will share a total of $385,552. Six of the nine projects address AI in the curriculum.
