Miriam Zach elected Dean of Central Iowa American Guild of Organists
Miriam Zach, adjunct assistant professor and Charles and Mary Sukup Endowed Artist in Organ, has been elected Dean of the Central Iowa American Guild of Organists (CIAAGO). Two of Zach’s organ students were also elected to the CIAAGO Executive Committee: Dr. Stephen Smith (Sub-Dean), and Zachariah Hastings (Webmaster).

Julia Zaikina, assistant professor of chemistry, earns American Crystallographic Association 2021 Etter Early Career Award
Julia Zaikina, assistant professor of chemistry, has earned the 2021 Margaret C. Etter Early Career Award from the American Crystallographic Association. Zaikina received the honor in recognition of her work in synthetic solid-state chemistry and materials characterization. The award commemorates the memory of crystallographer Margaret Etter.
