ISU Symphony Orchestra takes a “Journey to the Dark Cyde”

The concert, held on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m., will honor the 101st anniversary of the Sousa Band’s 1920 performance in State Gym.
One of Iowa State’s largest operas in years, the show features a cast of 40 students and an ambitious score that blends jazz, blues, Broadway and opera.
Opening Thursday, Oct. 14 in Fisher Theater, the show follows a group of young people as they come of age and navigate love, loss and identity in their town of Corners Grove.
