Iowa State is the only university to have two theatre productions selected for Region 5’s annual festival.
This is the third consecutive year KCACTF has recognized an ISU Theatre production directed by Associate Professor Amanda Petefish-Schrag.
The collaborative, immigration-focused production was honored with the Citizen Artist Award and Distinguished Devised Production.
Bethmari Marquez Barreto (’20 performing arts) received first place in the festival’s ASPIRE Arts Leadership Fellowship awards.
The production will perform at January’s Region 5 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
