James T. Andrews and Margaret R. LaWare publish book

James T. Andrews, University Professor in the Department of History, and Margaret R. LaWare, associate professor of English, co-edited a book that will be published later this spring.

“Art and the Global City” is based on an international conference at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (November 2019). The book brings together scholars from interdisciplinary backgrounds (Frankfurt School Communication Scholars, Cultural Historians, Sociologists and Public Sphere Cultural Theorists) to look at the evolution of public space and art in global cities.

The book will be published by Oxford/NYC: Peter Lang.
