Christina Svec publishes research in three professional journals

Christina Svec, assistant professor in the Department of Music and Theatre, has published research in three professional journals.

Her first paper “The Academic Support Group: Peer-Mentoring Experiences of Early-Career Music Teacher Educators” was published in Visions of Research in Music Eduation.

Visions of Research in Music Education is a fully refereed critical journal. It’s publication is offered as a public servic to the profession by the New Jersey Music Educators Association and the state affiliate of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).

“At the Intersection of Belief & Practice: A Mixed-Methods Study of Elementary General Music Educator Praxix” was published by Psychology of Music.

Psychology of Music publishes peer reviewed papers directed at increasing the scientific understanding of any psychological aspect of music.

Lastly, Svec’s research “Music Aptitude and Music Achievement: A Meta-Analysis” was published in the Proceedings of the 28th International Seminar of the International Society for Music Education Research Commission.
