Chad Hart, a professor in the Department of Economics, was featured on “Iowa Press,” a local public television program presented by Iowa PBS.
During the roundtable, Hart discussed Iowa’s record corn crop, climate change and the federal government’s efforts to expand meat and poultry processing. The federal government recently dedicated $150 million to expanding small meat lockers in Iowa.
Hart’s comments were also the subject of a Radio Iowa article “To succeed, meat locker start-ups will have to secure repeat customers.”
Hart, a professor in the Department of Economics, is also a crop market specialist and an economist with the ISU Extension Office.
