Jeremy Best, assistant professor in the Department of History, has earned the Phi Alpha Theta Best First Book Award for 2021.
Best was awarded this honor for his book “Heavenly Fatherland: German Missionary Culture and Globalization in the Age of Empire.”
Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society has over 400,000 members, with some 9,000 new members joining each year through 970 chapters nationwide. The organization was established in 1921.
