Hridesh Rajan mentee, Ali Ghanbari selected as a 2021 Computing Innovation Fellow

Ali Ghanbari has been named as a 2021 Computing Innovation Fellow (CIFellows) under the supervision of Hridesh Rajan, professor and chair of the Department of Computer Science. Ghanbari will earn his Ph.D. from the University of Texas, Dallas in December 2021.
This prestigious award is administered by The Computing Research Association (CRA) and the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
The CIFellows program will provide NSF funds that enable Rajan to mentor Ghanbari and provide postdoctoral opportunities in computing and cohort activities to support career development and community building.
Rajan’s involvement allows Iowa State University to serve as a host institution for this award. The honor funds a postdoctoral researcher for two years, including salary, benefits and indirect support.
