Gustavo MacIntosh, professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology, has been elected president of the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB). The ASPB held its member elections in the spring.
The ASPB is a not-for-profit professional society devoted to advancing plant science research and education. It publishes three world-class journals, organizes conferences and facilitates other educational activities that are key to the advancement of the science.
