Shalini Ajay Singh, M.F.A. candidate in the Department of English creative writing and environment program and current program assistant for Iowa State University, recently won The Best in Show in the Studies in Creativity award for three prose poems and are exhibited at the MU Gallery from February 11 – March 6, 2024.
Poetry was chosen by Margaret LeMay, assistant professor of creative writing at Coe College and founding director of the Examined Life Conference and the Writing and Humanities Program at the Carver College of Medicine.
Singh was also recently selected as Assistant Poetry Editor for DIAGRAM, a reputed electronic journal of text and art.
