LAS Honors and Awards Ceremony to recognize distinguished alumni

Iowa State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) will recognize the achievements of its distinguished alumni at the annual LAS Honors and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 2.
The ceremony takes place during Iowa State’s 2023 Homecoming Week, which will celebrate Cyclone pride with the theme “Carnival and Gold.” Iowa State student a capella group Count Me In will provide music and vocals at the LAS ceremony.
In addition, LAS and Iowa State University Alumni Association award recipients will be honored at a Friday, Nov. 3, ceremony hosted by the Iowa State University Alumni Association.
“I’m thrilled to commemorate Homecoming Week with an opportunity to reconnect with our alumni,” Beate Schmittmann, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, said. “LAS has more than 60,000 living alumni who are achieving the highest levels of excellence in a diverse array of fields and also making an impact on communities around the globe. We are extremely proud to honor their outstanding accomplishments.”
