The Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) recognized recipients of the 2022 SWCS awards at its annual conference held Aug. 2 in Denver, Colorado.
Among the award winners is J. Gordon Arbuckle, professor of sociology in Iowa State’s Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. Arbuckle received a Fellow Award, which recognizes SWCS members who have performed exceptional service in advocating for the conservation of soil, water and related natural resources. Fellowship is an honor bestowed upon the best in the conservation profession.
