Ann M. Oberhauser, professor in the Department of Sociology, delivered a keynote address at the International Conference on Crisis, Recovery and Gender. The July conference was held at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain and was organized by the International Geographical Union Commission on Gender and Geography.
The title of Oberhauser’s talk was “Work in Progress: Transforming Spaces in Feminist Economic Geography.” She presented her research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women’s work across the globe and strategies to address the continuing gender disparities in employment, balancing home and work responsibilities, and the return to work following the pandemic.
