Junqi Li awarded $313,600 National Institutes of Health grant

CATEGORIES: Honored

Junqi Li, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for her research “Atom-swapping reaction sequences enabled by decarbonylation and decarboxylation.”

The $313,600 grant, issued by the NIH’s National Institute of General Medical Sciences, will fund Li’s studies until May 2023.

Li’s research in the area of molecular editing is focused on the development of new catalysts and reaction sequences which directly alter molecules that impact human health.
