Tichakorn Wongpiromsarn awarded National Science Foundation grant

CATEGORIES: Honored

Tichakorn Wongpiromsarn, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, has been awarded a standard grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The grant was earned through the NSF’s competitive Division of Computer and Network Systems.

The nearly $600,000 grant will support Wongpiromsarn’s research, which addresses safety concerns in autonomous systems, such as self-driving cars.

Wongpiromsarn’s research aims to develop novel algorithms that will identify, succinctly characterize and quantify inconsistencies that simultaneously arise between autonomous systems and human systems.

The NSF grant will fund Wongpiromsarn’s research until 2025.
