Danise Jones, graduate student services specialist in the Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology, is among the Iowa State University staff who have been recognized with a Professional and Scientific Council CYtation Award.
CYtation Awards honor and celebrate Professional and Scientific employees, particularly those who might not otherwise receive public recognition. These employees go above and beyond the call of duty while making significant contributions to Iowa State University.
This year, 41 Iowa State employees were recognized for their outstanding work and contributions. Award recipients included 16 individuals and the members of four teams from across the university.
A CYtation awards breakfast, which was held in the Alumni Center’s Reiman Ballroom, opened with comments from President Wendy Wintersteen.
“We have made it through one of the most extraordinary times in our history and we’ve done it together,” Wintersteen said. “And we can come back together in a room like this to celebrate individuals for their leadership, the impact that they’ve had, this is a good thing.”
A complete list of recipients with summaries of their achievements can be found here.
