Kathleen Hilliard elected vice president of the American Historical Association, Teaching Division

The American Historical Association (AHA) recently announced its 2021 election results and Kathleen Hilliard, associate professor in the Department of History, has been elected vice president of the American Historical Society, Teaching Division.

Established in 1884, the AHA is the largest organization of professional historians in the world. With more than 12,000 members, the AHA serves historians who represent every historical period and geographical area in a wide variety of professions.

Hilliard will serve a 3-year term.
