Jan Lauren Boyles, associate professor and director of graduate education in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, received the 2021 David Donald Fellowship in Data Journalism.
The award recognizes excellence in data journalism education and scholarship and is granted by the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting (NICAR)/Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE).
The award is designed to support computer-assisted reporting training to university educators so that they can better equip their students to be effective watchdogs through the use of data.
