Assistant Professor Hua Bai earns NSF CAREER award

Hua Bai, assistant professor in the Department of Genetics, Development & Cell Biology, has been honored with a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The CAREER award is the NSF’s most prestigious honor in support of early-career faculty members who serve as exemplary teacher-scholars through outstanding research, teaching excellence and the integration of education and research.

The $1,212,704 grant will support Bai’s research, “Understanding Peroxisomal Stress Responses” through 2026.
