Simon Cordery, professor and chair in the Department of History, has earned the 2019 Railway & Locomotive Historical Society’s George W. and Constance M. Hilton Book Award.
Cordery won the award for his book, The Iron Road in the Prairie State: The Story of Illinois Railroading (Railroads Past and Present).
