Charles Kostelnick earns Frank R. Smith Award for Distinguished Journal Article

Charles Kostelnick, Morrill Professor in the Department of English, has been awarded the Frank R. Smith Award for Distinguished Journal Article from the Society for Technical Communication (STC).
Kostelnick won the award for his article, “The Art of Visual Design: The Rhetoric of Aesthetics in Technical Communication.” He will be formally recognized during the STC’s Virtual Summit this fall.
Commenting on his award-winning article, a representative from the STC said, “Charles Kostelnick not only expands upon his voluminous past research on visual thinking but opens new avenues of research. This masterful and ambitious article will be a standard for years to come.”
