NSF Awards $1.2 million to determine the function of plasmodesmata as redox signaling hubs

Joe Aung, Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics, Development, and Cell Biology was recently awarded a $830,000 amended grant, bringing the total funded by the National Science Foundation to $1.2 million for his research in determining the function of plasmodesmata as redox signaling hubs.
The award is part of the NSF Faculty Early Career Development Program.
