Robyn Lutz named IEEE fellow

Robyn Lutz, professor in the Department of Computer Science, was recently named a fellow with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members with extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields. The number of IEEE Fellows elevated in a year is no more than one-tenth of one percent of the total IEEE voting membership.

This honor recognizes Lutz’s contributions to software requirements for safety-critical systems.

The IEEE Fellow is one of the most prestigious honors the organization grants. It is bestowed on a very limited number of senior members who have contributed importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, bringing significant value to our society.
