Katherine Rafferty, associate teaching professor in the Department of Psychology, was invited to speak at the grand opening and launch of the Institute for Reproductive Grief Care.
Rafferty participated in the Research Reveals panel discussion and shared findings from her recently published study on the communicative tensions in womens’ medication abortion narratives.

Located in San Diego, the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care is an active campus where organizations and individuals come together for education, research, and healing of grief after reproductive loss, and to accelerate the widespread adoption of a standard of care for those impacted by reproductive loss. The new facility features a counseling center, research library, teaching rooms, recording studio, a 300-seat auditorium with remote capabilities and office space for visiting scholars and the team of this growing organization.
