Monic Behnken, LAS associate dean of equity, diversity and inclusion, and associate professor of sociology, has received a 2021 Iowa Character Award—Adult Citizen of Character (Honorable Mention). The awards are given annually by Drake University’s Robert D. and Billie Ray Center.
Each year, the Ray Center recognizes Iowans who emulate the six pillars of CHARACTER COUNTS!: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and good citizenship.
