Srimoyee Sen, assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, was recently awarded funding from the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Early Career Research Program.

The program provides support to exceptional researchers during their early-career years. Award recipients are selected from a large pool of applicants from universities and national laboratories.

These highly competitive grants are awarded based on peer reviews of applicant proposals, by outside scientific experts.

Sen earned the award for their nuclear physics research proposal, “Quantum Materials, Lattice Gauge Theory and QCD.”
