Hridesh Rajan, Kingland Professor and chair in the Department of Computer Science, will serve as the general chair for SPLASH 2021, the ACM SIGPLAN conference on Systems, Programming, Languages, and Applications: Software for Humanity. The conference, to be held in Chicago from October 17 to October 22, is a premier forum at the intersection of programming languages and software engineering research areas in computer science.
Rajan also served at the general chair for SPLASH 2020. He is the first to serve two consecutive terms as general chair. SPLASH 2020 was organized as a virtual conference and broke the record for conference registrations and registered a sold-out group of attendees.
According to the ACM website, “SPLASH embraces all aspects of software construction and delivery, to make it the premier conference on the applications of programming languages—at the intersection of programming languages and software engineering.”
