Sarah Dees and Jeffrey Wheatley awarded grant from the American Academy of Religion

Sarah Dees and Jeffrey Wheatly, assistant professors in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, were recently awarded a regional development grant from the American Academy of Religion.

The grant will allow Dees, Wheatley and their colleagues to organize a workshop for Scholars of American Religion in Iowa (SOARIA) and eventually develop innovative teaching and outreach opportunities that are unique to the state of Iowa.
