Diana Thatcher, a graduate assistant in the Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, has been selected as a recipient of a 2016 National Association of Geoscience Teachers Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.
The award honors undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated excellence as Teaching Assistants. Thatcher was nominated by Cinzia Cervato, Morrill Professor of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, for her ability to create relevant and memorable lab experiences for students, her dependability, and her excellent student reviews.
Award winners receive a one year membership in NAGT, which includes an online subscription to the Journal of Geoscience Education and our In The Trenches quarterly magazine. The yearly membership starts January 1st of the upcoming year.
