Krista Klocke Speech Communication, Communication Studies
Krista Klocke doesn’t just join organizations – she immerses herself in their missions and works to make them stronger. She isn’t just the president of the Speech Communication Club; she created it. She isn’t just a member of the Honors Program; she has been a First Year Honors Program leader, and undergraduate assistant, and a program ambassador who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to strengthen it.
Currently an undergraduate research assistant in the ISU Public Speaking Program and teaching assistant, Krista has also worked as a peer mentor for the Leadership Studies Program and as a Leadership Studies program intern. She has served as a Destination Iowa State leader, an international peer minister, and as a presenter or panelist at multiple conferences and symposiums on topics ranging from politics to education.
Krista has been recognized with awards and honors from Cardinal Key, Golden Key, Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma, the American Business Women’s Association, the ISU Women’s Club, the Des Moines Women’s Club, the Story County 4-H Foundation, and the International Student Ministry. She is a recipient of the Ray Dearin Award for Academic Achievement in Speech Communication and the Sandra and Lynn Davis ISU President’s Leadership Award. She is also a Carrie Chapman Catt Legacy of Heroines Scholar.
She is Student Alumni Association member.
