Senior performing arts majors Bethmari Márquez Barreto and Sydni Lapsley are shining examples of citizen artistry in action.
The collaborative, immigration-focused production was honored with the Citizen Artist Award and Distinguished Devised Production.
“The Wolves” is guest directed by LAS alumna Taylor Millar (’17 performing arts).
Bethmari Marquez Barreto (’20 performing arts) received first place in the festival’s ASPIRE Arts Leadership Fellowship awards.
The production will perform at January’s Region 5 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Guest directed by Arpita Mukherjee, LAS Dean’s Artist-in-Residence, the Odyssey-inspired show opens Dec. 6.
ISU Theatre’s family-friendly musical opens Friday, Oct. 25 at Fisher Theater.
