Professors Chunhui Chen, Jim Cochran, and Soeren Prell in the Department of Physics and Astronomy recently received a new five-year U.S. Department of Energy grant totaling $3.035 million. This award recognizes the excellence of their research program and will support their continued contributions to the Belle II experiment at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) in Tsukuba, Japan, advancing our understanding of the fundamental nature of matter and the origin of the matter–antimatter asymmetry in the universe.
