Tonglu Li publishes Chinese translation of Jesus and Lao Tzu: The Parallel Sayings with Commentaries

Tonglu Li, associate professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures, along with two collaborators, recently published the Chinese translation of Martin Aronson’s “Jesus and Lao Tzu: The Parallel Sayings with Commentaries” with The Commercial Press (Hong Kong). The book offers a comparative study of the New Testament and the Tao Te Ching, the foundational text of Daoist philosophy and religion. Intended for a general audience, it highlights the fundamental connections and shared values between the two cultural traditions. Li was responsible for translating the preface, the introduction, and four of the book’s nine chapters, as well as proofreading the entire volume.
