Geetu Tuteja shares her research on prestigious podcast

Geetu Tuteja, LAS Dean’s Professor in the Department of Genetics, Development, and Cell Biology, studies how the placenta holds clues to future disease – and why it’s time we paid more attention. She recently shared her research on The Pew Charitable Trusts’  After the Fact podcast, “From Lab to Life: The Forgotten Organ That Built You.”

In the podcast, Tuteja describes how her lab at Iowa State is working to better understand the placenta’s functions and why placental disorders start. She also discusses how her background in genomics and computational biology informs the way she conducts her research.
